Hi and welcome to Hit The Road in this series I am going to be showing you how to check things with your car like engine oil, screenwash, tyres and the list goes on.

So, to begin we need to find the hood/bonnet release leaver to open the hood/bonnet and once we have pulled it, we need to open it. After we have opened it, we need to find where to fill up the screenwash cap and after we have located it, we need to open it to add the screenwash. Once we have done that, we need to get screenwash I recommend pre mixed screenwash instead of the one you have to mix yourself as you don’t have to work out how much screenwash with water to mix up and add. For example, my Honda civic’s screenwash tank is 2.5 litres. So that’s a lot of mixing! I would say the only benefit of the concentrated one is its better in colder conditions then the premixed but that’s only from about -10 other then that I wouldn’t say it’s any better. so to add I would also recommend a funnel so you don’t spill it everywhere as it glugs out of the container and then after we have filled it we put the cap back be careful not to drop it into the engine bay as you will never get it back! Once everything is done, we can close the bonnet. Job well done!
